Our Work. Application of Materials

Here we showcase real projects where we applied our eco materials — from frame structures with straw infill to reed panels for insulating old homes. Each project is unique, but they're all united by one principle: natural materials, breathable walls, and a healthy microclimate.

Kladnitsa

A double timber frame structure made from 12×12 cm beams. Pressed straw bales were placed inside the frame, after which the wall was plastered with clay on both sides — outside and inside. This principle — a frame with straw infill and clay plaster — is one of the simplest and most reliable ways to achieve a warm, breathable wall at minimal cost.

Mobile House on Wheels

A compact mobile home where our hemp insulation was used for thermal and sound insulation. This project demonstrates that natural materials work not only in traditional permanent construction, but also in small mobile structures, where every centimetre of space and every gram of material weight matters.

Eco Cocon Project

This house was built using ready-made panels from the Eco Cocon system — factory frames with straw already pressed inside. The ready panels were covered with finishing materials and plastered. This approach speeds up construction since the main insulation layer arrives already finished from the factory, leaving only assembly and final finishing on site.

Lozen Project

A double timber structure made from 12×12 cm beams. The distinctive feature of this project is the pressed clay bricks, made on-site from local earth and clay, which were placed in each section of the frame. A 12 cm gap was left between the brickwork, filled with wood-fibre insulation. The exterior wall is partly clad with wooden boards and partly plastered with clay — a combined finish that blends the aesthetics of wood with the breathable properties of clay.

Zheleznitsa Project

This house was built using hand-made straw panels, made by analogy with factory technology — modules of pressed straw were prepared individually and then assembled into the house structure. The exterior walls were further reinforced with 35 mm panels and clad with wooden boards, while the interior wall surface was plastered with clay. This project shows that straw construction technology can be implemented independently, without factory panels, given proper attention to the quality of pressing.

Gorno Banya Project

A double timber frame structure filled on both sides with fibre insulation, totalling 24 cm in thickness. The exterior wall is covered with 5 cm thick reed panels, after which the entire surface — both outside and inside — is plastered with clay and finished with natural paint. The combination of fibre insulation and reed achieved a particularly high thermal insulation rating while keeping the wall composition fully natural.

Renovation of an Old House

An old brick house over 70 years old — a solid, well-built structure that only needed insulation, not reconstruction. Reed panels were mounted on the walls in two layers of 5 cm each — bringing the total insulation thickness to 10 cm. The surface was then plastered with lime render. The result is a warm, beautiful home that retains its historic structure while gaining a modern level of energy efficiency.

What Unites All These Projects

Despite the different technologies — factory panels, hand pressing, clay masonry or reed insulation — all these homes share one principle: the use of natural, breathable materials that regulate humidity and create a healthy microclimate without the need for additional mechanical ventilation.
